Trustee Training details

Training Objectives

  • Understanding of a Trustee’s responsibilities and the legal requirements of fundraising
  • Overview of current fundraising climate and benchmarking
  • Knowledge of the different resources needed to fundraise effectively
  • Insight and differentiation into the various fundraising income streams, the timelines of investment to notable ROIs, and realistic income that can be expected
  • Skills and techniques to practically support a fundraising team through network mapping and strategic advice

Length: 2hours

Format: In person or online

  • Can tailor our core content to meet your team’s specific needs. For instance previous clients have asked for more detail about an area of fundraising their charity focuses on, or more detail around the Fundraising Code.
  • Can be added on to an existing board meeting (in person or online) to help manage your Trustees diaries
  • Flexible on time – can be in the evening if this is when your Trustees are available
  • Bringing your trustee team together allows for shared expertise, and ensuring your whole team is working from the same basis.
  • Optional add on/follow up sessions for more specific areas of interest 


Price: £1500 for up to 12 attendees. Travel and if needed accommodation will be in addition for in-person training. 


Length: 2hours

Format: In person or online 


Benefits to this format:

  • More suitable if only a select number of Trustees are planning to undertake the training (ie a fundraising sub-committee)
  • Networking opportunity to connect with fellow charity trustees and share insight and expertise
  • In-person learning from a mixed group allows for shared expertise across a variety of charities

Price: £135 per head 

Length: 3 x 30min modules

Format: On-demand training delivered on-line

  • Can be accessed flexibly at any time to allow for Trustees schedules
  • Breaks the information down into modules to allow for information to digest (can be more suitable for different learnings styles or preferences)
  • Can be accessed for up to one year
  • Opportunity for group booking discount if booking online training for 3 or more trustees (email us for details)
